"There is no such thing as a Crash Course in Public Speaking."

Our course is designed to improve your Public Speaking skills. It offers students procedures for planning, outlining, practicing and presenting your speeches. In addition, it will provide in-depth coverage of the basic skills professional speakers use to prepare an effective speech including audience analysis, topic selection, and outlining.

You will give 5 speeches durning this 6 session course including:
      a speech of description,
      a speech of demonstration,
      a speech of explanation,
      a persuasive speech
      and a final presentation.

You will video-tape these presentations and Priority mail them to me each week prior to our weekly telephone/conference. During these phone conferences I will critique your presentation and offer suggestions for improvement. In addition, you will observe 2 speakers outside of class with a written analysis of both.
