38th Annual Wildflower Pilgrimage

Blackwater Falls State Park
Davis, WV 26260
May 6-9 , 1999

We will be celebrating the 38th annual West Virginia Wildflower Pilgrimage during the week of May 6 - 9, 1999. Each year approximately 300 people come to beautiful Blackwater Falls State Park to enjoy this event. Professional and amateur botanists and bird watchers from some 13 states  join with specialists from West Virginia University, the West Virginia Garden Club and various other colleges to tour the unique places of our high mountain country. Tours to Smoke Hole, Seneca Creek, Dolly Sods, Sinks of Gandy and Spruce Knob are scheduled.  These remote places are often difficult to reach on your own but make enjoyable tours when  accompanied by experts. All in all we highly recommend this wonderful  outing for new as well as veteran visitors to the  Canaan Valley Area.

For a schedule of events and additional information please contact Emily Flemming at 304 558 3370. Advanced reservations are highly recommended as Blackwater Falls Lodge and Cabins fill up early.
