From North or EAST : I 68 runs east west between I 81 and I 79 (exit 14 Keysers Ridge ) US 219 South to Thomas, WV then Rt. 32 to Canaan. This route takes you through Deep Creek Lake, MD (boating ,movies, etc) then through Oakland, MD (beautiful Amish farm community + Foodland + Super Wall Mart) All you'll see on US 50 is 2 lanes+mountains+coal trucks. From West and Southwest take I 79 to exit 99 (Weston) then Rt. 33 (now four lane) to Elkins and continue to Harman. Then Rt. 32 North to Canaan. From SouthEast  Seneca Rocks is worth a visit then Rt. 33 to Harman then Rt 32 North to Canaan Valley.
